Whirlwind is proud to welcome another ripping ax man to the family!

Ever since his teenage years, Parker Lundgren has dreamed of taking music to a professional level. But even in his wildest dreams, he never imagined that he'd eventually play guitar in front of 70,000 screaming metal fans.
The 24-year-old Port Townsend High School graduate has been touring as a guitar player for Queensrÿche - a multi-platinum Seattle-based progressive metal band - during the 2009 tour of the group's most recent album: American Soldier.
Thirty years after their formation, Queensrÿche ignites anew with Dedicated to Chaos, a brave, adventurous, diverse and often experimental album that will challenge their fiercely intelligent audience and rock n’ roll critics alike in profound and exceedingly rewarding ways. There is nothing safe, saccharine or sanitized about Queensrÿche’s twelfth studio album. No rules. No boundaries. It’s the latest in a string of impressive feats from the legendary Seattle band.
I had the pleasure of getting to know Parker at the last NAMM show in Anaheim CA and was dually impressed with both his chops as well as his demeanor. A class act of a guy that is on a constant pursuit of that perfect tone. Parker is currently working with our new Perfect Ten EQ, our Orange Box Phaser, Red Box Compressor, the Gold Box Distortion, the Bomb clean boost pedal as well as our legendary Leader Instrument Cables.
Check out the Queensrÿche tour if you can and you'll see a band that has continued to fill auditorium seats while leaving their audience stunned. Thanks Parker for throwing down those mega heavy riffs, and thanks for choosing Whirlwind.
