Broadcast Application (Rhema Bible Church/Sound Productions)
Above are pieces of a system built for the Rhema Bible Church of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma through Sound Productions, Inc. of Dallas Texas.
The top picture shows panels mounted inside the Church's broadcast truck. On the right is a rack panel with backbox containing 40 inputs and 16 returns with ground lift switches. These inputs are duplicated via the W4 MASS connector mounted on the hinge adapter. Note that the hinge adapter is mounted so that it swings out sideways as the connecting cable enters through the PVC pipe conduit on the left.
The outputs are located on the rear and are via three 90 pin Elco/EDAC multipin connectors.
On the left side are various BNC and XLR inputs and outputs for video interfaces.
The bottom unit is a three way 40 X 16 splitter stagebox. One direct and two isolated outputs are provided via Jensen transformers and three W4 MASS connectors. In addition, it features a fourth W4 direct input connector that duplicates the 40 XLR inputs.
With this configuration, microphones can be connected directly into the main rack panel located on the truck, or plugged into the external stagebox and connected to the truck panel with the W4-W4 cable (as pictured). The external stagebox's extra split outputs are used to feed FOH, monitor desk, etc.
