Full Sail attracts people from all over the world with a passion to create, music, film, games, animation, design, and live events. They attend to learn in an environment that is essentially one of the biggest entertainment production facilities on the planet, and to be part of a community of like minded peers.
Full Sail's students and instructors share a passion for this unique blend of art and technology, where gear and creativity come together under one roof. But most of all, students come to Full Sail seeking fulfilling careers doing what they love.
When it came to selecting a digital system for the production facility and learning center, Full Sail chose the Whirlwind E Snake.
Full Sail's Dana Roun comments, "As technology moves forward, we are seeing more and more digital networking components. The Whirlwind E Snake incorporates the latest technology in routing, remote control and compatibility with the widest variety of equipment from other manufacturers. For example we interface and control the E Snake directly from our Yamaha PM5D - a big plus. This allows us to stay current and present our students with the best 'Real World Education' available."
The main panel at the left contains all of the inputs and outputs for the E Snake system.
There are 32 analog inputs at the top, each with a ground lift switch.
The connectors on the red laminate are the E Snake returns for FOH.
The connectors on the white laminate are the E Snake returns for Broadcast.
The connectors on the blue laminate are analog returns.
These "PRIMARY" and "SECONDARY" connections are to and from Ethernet switches.
These color coded W6 MicroMASS multipins are analog inputs from the color coded sub-snake boxes pictured below.
These color coded W3 MASS multipins are analog split outputs for FOH and monitor feeds should the panel be used as an analog splitter only.
