(630 462-7000 / 877 462-7000)
It received its nickname "The Barge" because of its size and appearance while on its back when shooting this photo. It is built in a 20 rack space, custom punched and engraved panel with backbox.
Dual ground lift switches are provided on each of the 56 XLR inputs and output connections are made via 3 Whirlwind W4 MASS connectors. The four color coded W5 MicroMASS connectors are provided as input connections from subsnakes. They are wired directly to the four corresponding male XLR output groups located at the top of the panel. These outputs are then patched with short mic cables to any of the 56 inputs below. This provides input flexibility and prevents the possibility of both a sub input and direct input being accidentally connected to the same channel.
Center yellow XLRs provide an intercom feed to all boxes.
