This unit was nicknamed the "Big Dog" by our Custom Shop manager, Sam Bertolone.
The main unit consists of a custom punched and engraved rack panel with backbox containing 56 mic inputs. A lift switch for each input ground lifts both isolated outputs.
In addition, the mic input connections are duplicated with 5 Whirlwind W1 multipin subsnake inputs. The 5 subsnakes consist of MINI-12 low profile boxes with W1 disconnects and they are connected to the main panel with W1-W1 multipin cables.
The output section consists of 1 direct and 2 isolated outputs via W4 MASS connectors mounted on our MASS hinge angle adapters. The hinged adapters allow the multipins to swing down at a 60-degree angle when in use but fold up and lock during storage and transport.
