To: Joe Barnes, Whirlwind Digital,
I just wanted to say thank you for spending the time on Monday to talk with me about the E Snake. My opinion of this product is that it is a huge asset to my company. The ES2 preamp is very musical, transparent and warm sounding. I have mixed on many digital consoles (PM5D, M7, Digico and Soundcraft) and have found that the ES2 pres sound as good or better. I plan on adding about 4-6 more of the units to our inventory for next years summer season as it has allowed me to get rid of copper weight in trucks. Thanks again, it has been a pleasure.

Joe,
First, I wanted to thank you again for helping with my ES2 question and for the CobraNet routing documentation. It's as if another new world of possibilities has opened up. The support from Whirlwind remains at a level of excellence that should serve as an example for most of the audio industry.
Once again, the most ambitious system(s) that I build each year, our Commencement systems, worked beautifully. As is usually the case, there were more audio requirements this year and Whirlwind made filling those requirements easy.
I was able to deliver split feeds from all of the inputs from two venues into a room that was being used as a video production suite for taping, live production of an overflow broadcast, and live streaming to the web.
There were inputs from each stage and each mixing location in each venue. The venues were a half mile apart and the mixing location was 300 feet from the stage in both cases. I was able to send splits from each ES2 frame for the stage inputs and direct outs from each console for the console inputs. Each set of eight signals was deployed to its own CO8a with a half bundle from each stage and a half bundle from each console. All of this was done on software managed VLANs that were riding on the campus' fiber backbone, and it was mind-bogglingly successful. I was able to pick very high quality signals from four separate locations and deliver them, pristine and clear, to a fifth location running no more than a couple of additional 15 foot long network cables to a couple of eight pound output devices.
Thanks very much,

"Thank you very much for sending out the E Snake for our event. We had
about 50 people from 25 churches show up for the event, and everyone
was amazed.
We ran the entire event, with live band, with only 2 CAT-5e cables to FOH. The M7CL looked sweet with nothing but CAT-5 and a serial cable plugged in. The snake showed up on schedule, and we quickly had it running with the Yamaha HA control.
Thanks a bunch."
